In short: Folio helps you keep track of your investments. It isn't a broker, doesn't hold your money and doesn't give investment advice.

About these terms

These terms are for using Folio, which is powered by PhillQins Hub; they're an agreement between you and PhillQins Hub. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.

What Folio is

Folio is a tracker for shares and other investments you already hold with your own brokers, on the Nairobi Securities Exchange and offshore. You enter what you hold, and Folio shows what it's worth. Folio doesn't connect to your broker, can't place trades, and never holds or moves your money.

Who can use it

You must be 18 or older to create an account. One account is for one person; please don't share it.

Your information

You're responsible for the holdings, amounts and other details you enter. When you import from a screenshot, check the rows Folio reads before you save them.

Prices and values

Share prices and exchange rates come from third-party sources and may be delayed, incomplete or wrong. Values in Folio are estimates for your information. Your broker's statements are the official record of what you own and what it's worth.

Not investment advice

Nothing in Folio is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any investment, or financial, tax or legal advice. Talk to a licensed adviser before you make investment decisions.

Your account

Keep your password private, and turn on app lock if other people use your phone. You can delete your account at any time in Settings › Delete account, which deletes your data as described in the privacy policy. We may suspend an account that's used to break the law or to attack or misuse the service.

Fair use

Please don't try to access other people's data, interfere with the service, or copy, resell or reverse-engineer it, except where the law allows.

The service

We work to keep Folio available and your data safe, but the app is provided as it is, and we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change or stop features; if we ever shut Folio down, we'll give you notice and a way to get a copy of your data.

Liability

As far as Kenyan law allows, PhillQins Hub isn't liable for losses that come from relying on prices or values shown in Folio, from investment decisions you make, or from the service being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top and tell you in the app before the changes apply. If you keep using Folio after that, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can delete your account.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and disputes are for the courts of Kenya.
